Now this is a little strange considering the story line makes you a 'good' person in Tyria... but I think there should be a little more options available as far as character alignment. I mean even evil people do 'good' things if it's in their interest.

What would you all think if there was some sort of system in which your character could move towards good or evil, or stay neutral, and gain some sort of bonus or profession-independent skills that are available only if you're a certain alignment. A big part of that could also be in including the gods of Tyria more into the game, and having certain boons granted to players depending on where their 'faith' lies. It wouldn't be simple, but I don't think it'd be as bad as a day/night skill, creatures and situational settings... ;)

Plus it'd open up some new missions!

i think that idea should be for a totally new game. IMO it would make guild wars too cluttered

right... thats why they call it an expansion. yea they can do it and no it wouldnt be clutterd.
besides thats what an expansion for new features.....
and we dont know what this engine is capable of. i bet they could add 50% more then what they have now and it would be fine because ive seen it done with other mmropgs and we will see on the expansion coming next year.

It's a really neat idea, and it would be kind of like the knights of the old republic games and fable, but I don't think it'll happen anytime soon. I guess they could implement it in an expansion though

like matt mentioned, fable and kotor. IMO i think that kind of concept sound be reserved for single player games.

Hahaha, a nice split decision, turns out I'm crazy though.

I guess A-net did incorporate the gods in a little more with faction. I'm a fantasy geek all around though so a big part of how the game ties the story-line, the world and the characters together. Still A-net is doing a good job!

Maybe not GOOD vs EVIL

But choose between the gods

Then you can still keep the storyline

you choose between the gods by quests (or something like that)

Hmmm, diety specific quests would be cool, if they had unique awards, but unforantly each profession is already tied to one or more of the gods, if you read your user manual. But some way to pick a unique path, wether it be alignment, chosen diety, or whatever, would be cool. Dont base the whole character around it or anything, just a small bonus not involving the professions.

Actually Medion, you DO choose between the gods.... when you choose a primary profession.

I know that, but you don`t really notice that you for example have chosen for Balthazar(that`s warrior right).

I was just hoping to point out that it doesn`t necesarily have to be Good vs Evil.
