What job is best for sniping / dealing with caster / support

Getting new into the game, and i was wondering what profession combination is best for dealing with the back lines in PvP. Something that can do damage pretty well, and shutdown casters.

I believe that a ranger is the guy your looking for. I'm relitivly new as well, but maybe mix it with a monk and get healing to keep your health us while you kill the casters.

casters are the heavy damage dealers. Rangers are support. If your looking to help ur team using smart strategy then the ranger is what your looking for.

to shut down casters i think its best to use a ranger and or mesmer
