After playing yesterday, I get home today and log on fine. Then when I logged off and went to log back on a different character, it didn't. Now it wont connect at all saying it's either a server error or a router problem. It's was working so I highly doubt it's a router problem or it wouldn't connect in the first place. So is anyone else unable to connect or know a method to solve this problem?

What a bummer! Last night I played until around midnight, PST, no problems or lags. Graphics looked even better than for the beta events, looked like an updated interface too, with good placement of important info. Now today I get home early from work, play a while on a second profession quest - and then get locked up and kicked off. URGH!

I know this is an old thread, but I'm having a similar issue with the game. From time to time my character will freeze and then I get kicked out with a server error. This happens a lot. I disabled my AV and firewall, and it still happens, so I'm wondering what is going on.

I'm not sure what may be causing that error, have you tried the official Guild Wars Support Center (http://support.guildwars.com/cgi-bin/guildwars.cfg/php/enduser/std_alp.php?p_sid=-pUoFkFh)?

do the servers go down at a specific time for a clean up of the realm? I'm remember in the days of old with bbs's and muds, they always had clean-ups around the wee morning hours.

i'm getting error code 13

I found a solution, though unacceptable to some. I simply unhooked my router so that my dsl line runs straight from the modem to the computer. It has totally eliminated the problem. It only take 30 seconds to rehook everything in case I want to use my laptop's wireless connection.

I was getting the error 7 disconnect messages. I contacted the GW support and they mentioned this technique to get rid of the error message:

Normally this error comes up from a firewall but since it is Socratic for you I think it is more likely an issue with your router. I would suggest you remove the router and run a hard line from the system straight to the modem. Once this is done be sure to power reset the modem and reboot the system. If this works then you should try disabling uPnP on your router or you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the software for your router as well. Also, you may need to update the firmware for your router or the router could be faulty.

Guild Wars requires the TCP\IP Port: 6112 to be fully unrestricted and accessible inbound and out.

You will also need to disable the "Port Triggering" in the router settings.

Thank you
