Major Damage Dealer??

What is the best combo to deal as much damage as possible to a single target?

Melee, Ranged, Physical, Elemental, Class, How much time you have, It really depends on what your looknig for. Post more information about how u play. Do you want to be in the thick of things? Do you want to be back lines? Do you want to take out casters? Really depends.

Hmm... I didn't know there was all that to consider. Well Id rather be in the back picking off enemys but it doesn't really matter, as long as im inflicting major damage.

i can tell you now no matter what class oyu choose elementalist CAN hit you the highest with a single spell, but theres other type of damage dealers like sword and hammer warriors that may hit a lot lower but stick to the target and can hit faster, though it brings ya right into the battle which i actually find tons of fun in a mob

Either you want to go Elementalist or Mesmer. Mesmer if your targeting casters and/or you would like to deal massive amounts of damage over some times. Elementalist if you want to deal large AoE DD (direct damage) or large single target DD.

And what should I go for a 2nd profession? Does anyone have a build for a geat direct damage dealer?

I've found that a Necro/Warrior combo is lots of fun, and can dish out damage to several targets at once, then close in, single out a target, and blow it away with lots of close-range skills like Vampiric Touch and Vile Touch (replace with stronger skills as you learn them).
