A warrior question

I plan on making a character with the warrior as my primary whick type of weapon do you recomend :?:

I think goin with the sword is most effective. :mrgreen:

Both the axe and hammer have their uses too, and are also fun to play. 8)

Depends on what your looknig for. Hammers have great knockdown skills which can disrupt casters. Axes have some great conditions you can put on people and sword can do some nice damage quickly. Also, swords build up adreniline much quicker.

I was using a hammer and switched to a longsword, which I paid the ten gold to customize. I seem to be doing a lot better with it, and it seems to still do good damage to rock and ice elementals, which actually supprised me. You would think the hammer a better weapon for these guys.

Well, you cant use sever artery or gash on elementals, which kinda sucks and at the begining of the game it can limit ur killing speed and power.

Very true. I just had figured that raw damage(w/o skills) would mean the hammer would be more effective, yet the sword does normal damage, or so it seems, to the rock and ice elementals. I found this out as I was journying to get my secondary class of elementalist. I got lucky and got a longsword that did 4-7 damage, and with the custom job I got in town it does 20% more, which amounts to +1. I'm very happy with it, but would still consider holding on to a good war hammer for certain uses.
