Jamie the Wanderer

A while back, as ArenaNet began to add the NPC "Collectors" thoughout the game, Alpha testers began to notice some of their names were strikingly familiar. :wink:

Sure enough, ArenaNet has used the names of many Alphas testers and/or their characters names, oftentimes a combination of the two, when they named the hundreds of Collectors in Guild Wars. Collectors can be found anywhere from outposts to explorable areas, and ask for 5 particular materials (i.e. 5 Scale fins) in trade for one of their items.

It has been an exciting adventure for me to be a part of Alpha testing Guild Wars and I humbly thank ArenaNet for the honor of having a collector named after me. Jamie the Wanderer is located in the Crystal Desert and can be found outside of Destiny's Gorge in The Scar. Click the picture above to enlarge.

I was in the Alpha Test for almost a year before the Collectors we're added in-game. Not to mention the fact the devs confirmed that they named Collectors after testers. :wink:
