hi, im making a r/mo and was originally going to go

Expertise: 10
Marks: 10
BM: 9
Healing Prayers:7

but i think i've had a change of mind, would i be spreading myself too thin with 4 attributes like that? what i really need to know is, how great is BM if all i need to do is heal my pet and rez, should i take it down to up the other three? thats what im considering, some feedback and help is greatly appreciated!!

Beat Mastery is very important if you are using a pet.

The higher your BM level, the more damage you spells regular attacks do. And all BM skills also get stronger with each level of BM. So if you are going to use a pet, don't half-ass it or it is not worth it.

A good pet build is the "Smiting Pet" build. Which consists of high level BM and Smiting.

You cast skills such as "Balthazaur's Aura" and "Strength and Honor" and basically let your pet be the a tanking damage dealer.

I have my R/Mo set up differently

16 wilderness survival
13 marksmanship
10 expertise

the only monk skill I carry is rebirth. If I need healed I use troll ungent or healing spring. I never use a pet because they constantly get me killed.

I think if you go Beast at all you have to sell out to it. I think you'll do a little bit of nothing with it spread so thin.

If you really want a pet, and R/Mo's with pets can be awesome I'd go even higher in BM and strip something else.

A very devestating R/Mo beast build for arenas is:

13 BM/12 smiting/7 expertise/8 wilderness

Charm Pet
Res Signet
Comfort
Call of Haste
Bestial Pounce
Balthazar's Aura
Troll Unguent
Throw Dirt

To get there you have to use a superior BM rune, a minor exp and a minor Wild.

This is PvP, PvE you might get away with the broader definition.
