Capture Signets

Just wondering if anyone knew where and from which NPC they are available.

Also, if you use capture signet to acquire a skill does that skill have to be in your primary or secondary profession?

Last time I checked lions arch (last night), there were none. I believe I found them in Denravi, or Maguuma Stade...it was in that area last night..(I can't check at the moment).

I am just going to have to spend some time running around and uncovering the map. I've only got 4 or 5 places uncovered so far and can't find any more available skills.

the capture signets are in droknars forge.

they're also in LA.

the guy called Magi-something, he's standing on a hill top.

When you originally get to LA, he gives you a quest to capture a skill, and he gives you a Sig.

That guy sells sigs after you've done the quest

I have a question about capture signets. If u use CS, and it is repolaced on ur skills bar, do u have to go buy anoither capture signet? I didn't quite understnd it wen i read wat it does.

when a capture signet is used to capture something, the skill you get instead permanently replaces your signet, meaning you'll have to get a new one.

using the signet without capturing something, is free

guy in lion's arch never sold me a second one after the quest. So I got mine in quarrel falls. bought 3 in one trip just in case lol

Also keep in mind you can equip multiple capture signets. If you're going to an area that has multiple bosses with skills you want, equip a couple signet of captures. I ended up with three elite skills equipped by the end of my capture trip. Unfortunately, when you go back to town, the other elites drop out of your toolbar (Don't worry, you'll still have access too them)

You can also cancel signet of capture if you have picked the wrong boss - which is why I always bring a signet to an explorable area I havent been too before..

they don't disappear. they just disappear from your quick bar, as you can't venture out with more than 1 elite skill. the ones that drop, are still in your skill library

Capture sigs allow you 2 uses, but only once per outing as once you use it successfully your new skill replaces it in the toolbar. Once you go back to town if you have only used it 1 time, you can use it again as long as you re-equip it

That's incorrect. It's gone after you use it once. What happened was you had a second SoC that you equipped in town after the first one was spent.

i imagine you were doing the capture signet quest. part of the reward is a NEW signet :)

Yeah, you get a SoC to start out with and then you get a new one for finishing the quest. :D
