4v4 Guild Battles

well ive played GW since the WPE back half a year ago, and what i and many other people would like to see in this game is a 4v4 Ladder put into effect. Trying to have a guild with enough people online with the skills reqired for a build is tough, 8 people to form for a GvG is too much. having 4v4 would dramaticly impove this game, and would give it more ability for small guilds to run and be competative.

Great idea, Since my guild is small it's still hard to get most of us one at the same time to have a chance in a GvG.

I guess the 4v4 would be good. I don't really GvG or PvP very much. My Guild does a lot and I guess this would help them out, because only about 4 people are really interested and have good players.

yeah ive come accross it too many times where we had about 8-10 people online, but coulndt make the build we wanted because of lack of skills. 8v8 JUST TAKES TOO LONG! setting up a team for team arenas was quite fast and much more likley to happen than 8v8. if 4v4 GvG/Ladder does come into GW im sure they would hear alot of praise.


simple things to look at when running a PvP oriented Guild:
~50% people being online at any given moment (slight overstatement)
for 8v8 GvG that would mean u need 16 ppl in your guild to be able to field GvG SOMETIMES.
out of those 16 how many have the required skills for the build your running? likeley not enough that are online.
how long does it usually take when u have enough people online to get started? 8v8 = about 25-50 minutes (if everyone is creating toons for a spacific build). for 4v4 = 10-20.
the dynamics of large guilds make it difficult to have everyone involved in gvg!! so people not seeing enough playing time leave.
recruting to maintain numbers in a guild for 8v8: quite a task! to make sure you have skilled players able to fill anyrole/class, and have enough skills unlocked! Especially without observer mode! 4v4 would be quite fesable by a small group of friends!!
In all respects i believe 4v4 would boost this games activity immensly!!!

i truly wonder how many real PvPers still play this game. i know there are some, but so many people have quit due to the lack of options in the PvP part of the game. is this whole board only for PvE people or what?

i pvp periodically, mostly i farm to get godl for my 15k armor (almost done) but i know how you feel. Not enough people on in the guild i am a member of either. We have atleast 55 people, and well....soem of them are never on, or not enough at the same time.
