Still in pre-searing, I found some things that were quest items, but not the NPC to initate the quest.

Are certain quests for specific professions?

The items I found were;

1) Pretty Feather
2) Beautiful Necklace
3) A Pearl (I believe, it was in a shell)

and 4) there is the girl's cape you can buy from the Ascalon merchant and that it is quest releated.

Cape goes to Gwen. I believe the other stuff goes to the lady by the theatre stage.

right - dont bother with the cape - evil gold sink there

give the others to Althea at the stage for a skill unlock i believe- i think its a mes pri quest only too.

In beta the stuff went to a soldier looking to find stuff for a women.

Did they take that out?

Do the Gate quest looking for the ranger. Then he will have Gift for athena quest, then just give him those items.

i managed to get a bear pealt anyone know where that is suppose to go?

The bear pelt goes to a lady in the town where Devona is, and then you must take the bear clothing item she makes to Little Thom in the Barradin Estate.

South of Fort Ranik there are a group of guys boasting about killing a bear. If you hang around long enough they challange you to kill a bear and come back to them in less than 3 min. If you do this you recieve Hunter's Ale. I don't want to use it until I know what it does. Anyone know?

I didn't come across that. The only bear releated thing I came across was the cloak for little thom.

But I have noticed that different primary builds yeild different quests.

I got the ale too, but haven't used it as yet.
