View Full Version : Henchman getting stuck and you die bug

I've just been trying to do the quest where i go to bergen hot springs

just before the entrance i die and so do 2 off my henchman, 3 were nearby but didn't bother resurrecting as usually do, but I noticed one had got stuck further back next to a chest.

I couldn't kick him of the team and I couldn't resurrect so the game just stayed there, until I used the map to travel back to where I came from.

Does anyone know of any keyboard commands that you can type in to force a resurrect at nearest shrine, or a command to kick a henchman/player

I too had my monk henchman running round healing everyone but me, got stuck and stood there !

I stood up went down stairs got a drink and came back and all was ok again!

So with that in mind ...always go get a drink ! :lol:

I've had some problems with my henchmen as well.

The monk evidently thinks they are a melee fighter and runs to the front lines of combat every time.

The warrior will only focus on whatever target you are on, even if you first engage a certain opponet, wait for him to engage, he will follow you onto the next one before the first one is dead.

The ranger seems ok, just stays back and fires which is what I would prefer the monk do.

As far as the necromancer goes I am sure exactly what he does other than die very quickly.

As a general comment about all of them, I have had them attack a group of about 15 Char on their own before. While I am standing there trying to pick them off a few at a time, the warrior has run into the middle of the group of 15 and started hacking away.

And I have also had them not resurect others before as well, which in turn has made me carry the res signet in my bar which is something that I would prefer not to do.

But other than that henchmen are great. :lol:

yeh, another bug i noticed was if u all die roughly at the same time - when you respawn at respawn point one of your henchmen just run off into the distance straight back to where u were originally. they don't run around hills but actually run straight through them.

If your henchmen get stuck at a certain point, please /bug a report at that exact location the next time you do the mission (if possible). In my experience, it is usually a pathing issue that needs to be addressed.

Healer henchies usually like to take the time to heal everyone before going after the rezzables...thats the tradeoff of bring them along :cry:

Please post any mission/explorable area that you find henchies ghosting "walking through obstacles". Thanks! :)

Not exactly what you are looking for but it may help.
if you "Ctrl" + click your life bar when you are dead you are more likely to get rez'd in the middle of battle.

if other henchmen are dead and you ctrl+click your life bar you will get the priority to be rez'd first over them.

also you can ctrl+click an ally's life bar to state that they are dead as well.

Pfft! Ya right, the henchman are complete idiots, I hate using them. They charge into groups of enemies and agro everything, and the healer henchman are terrible, they rarely heal you and spend half their time running in circles, they heal people who are near full health rather than somebody who is running back to them with a small fragment of health left. I hate them, they need a lot of work and I actually believe that they were better in the betas than they are now, I see bugs where they get stuck on stuff all the time too, or sometimes, like Natasha said, they fall into the ground. Henchman controls would make the game a lot better

Ya controls would be so nicer even if they were attack, come here, stay. And then controls for henchman were give to the party leader.

they run b/c they can't stand still and take all the heat at once... (think of it as a person who stands in firestorm/maelstorm/meteorshower/searingheat etc.) by running they are able to get away from a few attacks/swings and survive for longer...

like when you are dead if you ctrl+click your health bar when taking dmg the monk hench will focus her healing towards you. when battling with henchmen i like to draw the focus fire of the enemy b/c i know i can get away 8)

Yes, but I'm talking about when they're not even under attack they still run in circles... and when I'm dead I don't want them to resurrect me in the middle of a fight, I'd rather they just healed the rest of the party and resurrected me after the fight... point is the henchman are stupid, and until Arena. Net gives us some controls it will definately be one of the downsides of this game

I had the same crap happening when we were doing the ascension quest.
Had the healer get stuck at the teleporter. And THEN as we run over a bridge: First the tank in front got stuck in the middle of the bridge due to a pathing bug or something. THEN the craploads of mobs that lingered far below under the bridge, could for some reason hit us in melee. And THEN we all died in the most terrible fashions possible due to no healing power...

nevertheless.. I see why the monk henchmen cant be too smart. Simply due to the fact that you would rather choose a hench over a human player. Humand occasionally errs. A healer hench has the opportunity to heal perfectly. Just standing far back and keeping everyone alive like a healing machine. Though boring for a human player, a hench could do that perfectly..

I just had all 3 henchmen surround me on the edge of a cliff and blocked me in. I saw a ton of red dots surrounding the green 'star burst'on the mini-map so I wanted to take a look without being notice.

I go up the edge to look over, see a ton of Char and then when I go to move I cannot. I am stuck. I try clicking the landscape in every different direction and couldn't do anything. None of them would move. I waited and waited, still they just kept crowding me in.

It wasn't until I pulled the map up and double clicked to take myself back to town that it dawned on me, 'I wonder if I just could have dismissed one of them?' :shock:

Oh well nothing like spending 45 minutes on a quest and not finishing it. At least now I know the best way to get there.

The Villainy Quest near Temple of Tolerance I believe, the henchmen get stuck their. Henchmen are especially useless for that quest because of the poison waters, they just step off in it and die. So if u take henchmen for the villainy quest, PREPARE to have fun! :)
