I wonder if they have a photoediting rehabilitation clinic....huh....I'll have to call....but I THINK it really is an assassin's headband, because the insignia is different. But there is no doubt in my mind Naruto is where they got it from, in some ways he is kindof an assassin....

The metal headband is called a hachigane it has been around Japan for a long time. Shishio from Rurouni Kenshin revealed a hachigane when he was ambushed by Saito.
However, when a helmet is not use, in order to protect a head, a protecting plate called "hachigane (=bowl and/or metal plate)" was sewn in the "hachimaki" headband. (From the Muromachi era.); or a string is attached to the left of the plate, and a right end, and it was connected behind the head. Later they stopped using the bowl and just used the metal plate sewn into their hachimaki headband.

http://www.aurelia.jp/gazo/naruto/hachigane2.jpgok dude, you have been reading/watching way too many manga/anime....but that is another interesting tidbit to add to my already self-overloaded mind.... aw well, its interesting little facts like these that always impress my friends...and I like my sig because of what it says, not because of whose on it....if I could put a picture of Ention/serenic/Kamika's face on the front,as long as I had the message, I would.

Very interesting facts. Seems like someone here takes headbands pretty seriously besides the Japanese.
I love Naruto, I seen all of them, The Naruto that plays in American sucks though... I know few people that have those head bands :D They can just cool.
