In most online games there is 5 character slots. In GuildWars there is 6 classes but only 4 characters. :( There is hundreds of skill combinations. How many of you want a 5th character?

In most? Wtf are you smoking? Almost all online games have different numbers of characters ranging from 1-10 or sometimes more. Considering GW isn't even a MMORPG, I think it's stupid how badly they limit you on accounts.

You should atleast be able to create one character for each primary profession and then also be allowed to have a PvP character.
Like; Casey Jones, Mondo Geko, Leatherhead, Krang, Foot Soldier, April O'Neil.

lol i do too, a 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th would be great!
Question though, if you have rp character and unlock skills and such, if you delete that character, do you still get to keep all the stuff you unlock?

my first post here and in my fav thread what a coincidence :P lol my current hobby while not playing GW is bumping "add more character slots" in as many forums as possible ;) (i've considered getting a life but somehow i found that it's not really my style)
of course we should get more slots in our accounts. regardless if you loose your unlocked skills when removing a character or not I would never even consider removing one of my beloved role playing characters, after spending X amount of hours to complete all quest etc why the **L* would i want to remove it?? damn it if nothing else i will simply type /sit in town and look at my beatiful creation as all sorts of weird people run by me in search for equipment or LFG ;P ....why?....well....i guess i'm sort of a role player lost in GW (i don't give a flying fart if the focus of the game is PVP, i play PVE now begone vile PVPers) and as most role players, I love my characters.
and as a final thought I just wonder how on earth (or how on tyria ;P) will I fit both a male and a female mesmer in my account with only four slots? Yes, i need them both not that i can play them or am very appealed by their skills but simply because the mesmers look so darn cool and are by far the most (am i being shallow here?) well dressed characters.

Yes, once it's 'unlocked', it's unlocked for your account, not your character. This goes for runes, weapon upgrades, etc.
What about armor? Say I want one of my pvp warriors to wear platemail, and I get to Droknar's and buy a set, do my PVP characters now have the option of equiping platemail?

When you buy the armor just put it in the Storage Box and go to the box as your PvP char and you'll be able to take the armor out.
Armor is customized to the character that crafts it, so your PvP guy can't use what your RP guy gets. However, when you make a PvP character, you get to choose which armor you want to wear. Not all sets are available to PvP's, but the majority are. A Warrior has Ascalon, Knight's, Gladiator's, and Dragon (Wyvern) sets to choose from for a PvP character.

Oh right I forgot when you craft it the armor is customized for you so you wont be able to give it to anyone else.

In beta the Warrior had plate armor to chose from I think...
Warriors can not choose ascalon on PvP test chars
It's been a while since I made a PvP warrior (been workin on my RP one), but I'll check to be sure just which armors are available.

PvP Warriors can choose from Dragons, Knights, and Gladiators as well as the weapon specialty ugly ass captains helms. They took out plate for some reason <shrug>

Back to the main topic...
we really should have at least 6 characters to choose from
and then possibly a seperate selection of characters
we created to be the pvp characters

Better solution: Give us a temp slot for PvP characters and the ability to save our PvP builds. Then we just click "create PvP character" and load our build for the day, or create one, fight with the character till we tire of him/her, log off, at which point he's automatically thrown in the trash, and go d oother stuff.
There's a limit to how much server space they have. I imagine that another couple of characters for EVERYONE could easily burden the system considerably. But I imagine we shall see more slots for future expansions, at least if new races and/or classes, or just skills, are added.

I have almost all those, too. They're my bros, though. He was all about the Turtles.

wait.. wouldnt you just be able to dump the free stuff onto a rpg char and sell it.. then rise and repeat?
or is the PvP stuff priced at 0g or not placable in the storage.....

OH :cry: i just thought of sumtin.. armor is costomized for your character.. hence you cant use RPG armor on PvP characters

I just wish you could get back more than a "pocket lint" amount of money for armor your done with. Even if you can get the rune back out, the moeny/time/items it took to make that armor don't seem worth the return on investment. However, I totally understand why they do that so you can't just create a character/give away armor to another person, delete character, and do the whole thing again. Double-edged sword like so many things in life.
