item names and values

I've got a few items where the names are purple or yellow, does anyone know what this means.

also a few items don't have a value shown in inventory, but show when sellling them to traders

blue = unidentified
purple = rarer unidentified
gold = rare

You can also identify white items without a value listed if you really want to know its value while not in town.

i've identified the items, i was just wondering what the different colours meant for the item.
