Also, keep in mind that the armors do look different depending on whether or not they're on a male or female

Here's a small list of 15k armors that DO NOT have new skins yet!!!: necrotic armor, gladiator's armor, saintly armor, enchanter's armor, druid's armor, hydromancer's armor.

I'm thinking arena.net plans to release new skins for these, but as of now they look the exact same as 1.5k

The armor is in the Fissure of Woe. It is 15k and requires lots of obsidian shards and globs of extoplasm to craft. I don't even know if anyone in the game has gotten a full 15k from the FoW.

You can get obsidian Shard drops in the Fissure of Woe. They drop from most of those guys down there. I personally have only gotten 1 and have not seen that many drop. They are pretty rare and sell for a very nice price.

Oh yeah. Anyone that's a warrior (i'm a lvl 15 W/Mo). It seems Gladiator armor set is better (stat wise) than Wyvern Armor through Lions Arch (my farthest progress so far). Sure you get maybe +5 armor class but the cost and energy you give up seems to outweigh the investment. But like you guys said, it looks cool. And Wyvern set looks much more pimp than Gladiator. My dude looks like he must be freezing his GONADS off in the silverpeaks.

and, that warrior armor that was posted up there, that's the 15k Knights right? Too bad I already got 15k armor for my warrior, if I'd known about that armor I would have just saved up for it, only problem is that each ectoplasm is going for 9k now, and you need about 80 of them to make the armor, plus you need the 75k for all of the armor itself, and you need about 80 obsidian shards which are goij g for about 3k right now..... kind of pricy if you ask me, so I don't think I'll get it now

if you have done FoW and UW enough to have half of the ecto and shards you need, Gold is no longer the problem. - nd I have made several runs through both areas, and recieved 2 ectos and 1 shard, they are rare, but they do drop, normally about 3-4 per hr or so. They also seem to drop more in UW than in FoW.
FoW is more weapon drop friendly it seems

For some folks its just more time feasible. Spend one hour at the workplace and make $17.00 enough money to buy I dunno, 500k gold or something or spend the next several months trying to farm that much and not even come close if you don't have tons of time and groups that farm the good spots.

Everyones entitled to their opinion on it of course, but its a buisness thats been going on since the invention of the mmorpg. I personally don't have a problem with it, spend your own hard earned money how you will, this ain't a communist country. :D

I was reading a huge thread on the ups and downs of that on gwonline, I'll see if I can find the link later, but it's a huge argument to some people. Apparently it is against Anet's rules however, but if they're stopping people it doesn't seem too aggresive. One guy did get a warning for transferring 100k without any trade taking place. But after spending like 8 hours farming the other day (I was bored ok! :D ) I can see why i'd spend a couple bucks to by IG gold.

The highest stat armor can be found at Droknar's Forge (you'll get there doing the missions eventually) and it is 1500gold per piece. The armor there looks the same as the stuff in ascalon city and all the other towns depending on armor type. The 15k armor has the same stats as the 1.5k armor it just looks different. It can be found in Marham's Grotto and another place in the shiverpeaks, drawing a big blank on the name, and then in the Fissure of Woe. The 15k doesn't include the crafting materials.

whatever the prefix is (aero, pyro, ...) tells you that they get extra armor protection against a certain type of elementalist damage. For example the aeromancer armour gives you +15 armour vs lightning dmg (correct me if the stat is wrong), pyro is +15 vs fire dmg, gyro +15 vs earth dmg, and hydro vs water (ice) dmg. Hope that helps.

On the main Knights-Templar page there's a armory section where you can read about all the different types of armour.

On a somewhat related note, I think that the ele's get cheated, really it's the same benifit just vs a different type of element dmg...bah, they should make a tank set! ;)

Like several other professions, there's no 15k head gear for hunter's armor. you can find max AL hunter's head gear at droknars forge (+1 expertise). Also, if i'm correct, there's no hunter's coat either??

15k Hunter's armor (leggings, gloves, and boots):

AL 70
+1 energy regen
Armor vs Elemental +30
Armor vs Piercing +15

I'm not sure whether it's in The Granite Citadel or Marhan's Grotto. But there is Hunter's Fissure armor as well. :)

I have 16.3k, and im gonna save up till I have at least 30k, then im gonna buy a judge's top and bottom for my monk, hes gonna look so kool! my warrior is fine with the cruddy knight's armor he has now lol. but the 15k tatoo male that he had up there looks kinda......gray? but I dont like tats, theyre too exposing. I prefer something strong like judge;s that has big shoulderpads like that,

i'm currently on dial up EW......dial up....thats gotta make guild wars a living hell...but as for the 15k armor, the gladiators looks really cool, im gonna buy some here soon (im savin up :D ) and you know, the funny thing is, you know how female fissure armor has that little cornacopia thing on the shoulder? well, so does male 15k, so I went upto a male and said "nice fissure" and hes all "no" and im all "really o.0? then what is it?" "its 15k" and that was kindof embarasing... :oops:

Mattinator, a question. On your first post, it has "15k female virtuoso" in Green, Red, and black. But then I see on another post that you called armor that looks exactly the same, "15k Performers". So do they both look the same or is there a mixup :?

The 15k version of the Performer's Armor is called Virtuoso's Armor. I assumed that because of the mods it would have same name.. so the actual name is Virtuoso's, there is no armor actually called Performer's available in 15k, but the 15k Virtuoso's and the 1.5k Performer's have the same mods.

ah......ok. The only thing different between Performers and Virtuoso is the three feathers on the shoulder :P Thanks for clearing that up.

Fanatics....Fanatics....thats the one that looks like it has a little split-tail in the back right? Yes they do, but its under a different name. Look for the crafting material Elonian Leather Squares, but it doesnt look much different from the lesser version.
