Hello all..first time poster...i have a quick idea for an armor set...please excuse me if this has already been suggested...but i would like to see ANET give us a quick slot for changing armors..much like the quick slots for weapons...i know it might have some disadvantages for some...but its just that it wastes so much time changing armor sets that have different runes for my warrior character when trying to do different missions...for example sometimes i want to use a sword and sometimes an axe...and the different pieces of armor i have contain certain runes for axe, strength swordsmanship and tactics...just my suggestion..any ideas to further enhance this would be very welcome...along with criticisms and disadvantages of course for those who dont use warriors...but maybe something could be done for the other classes...thank you for your time and patience...and safe travels to all..!! :)...p.s...this brings up the idea of also having quick slots for the skills too..this way you can change skills quicker...but maybe not outside a town like now...anyways..let me know if it just sounds too crazy..hehe

I am conflicted on this suggestion because :
+ Switching armour effortlessly would be nice.
+ Quick access to multiple rune configurations in combat would be powerful.
- Changing outfits instantaneously would look a bit silly.
- I generally consider switching items ( e.g. off-hand items with more/less energy ) to be a little underhanded.
Overall then... no judgement call at the moment.

First, welcome to the forums!
Second, I find humor in this idea. It would be ultra convenient for a game that started out with constraints on how often one could change attribute points. But the humor comes in this: Imagine, while in the middle of a fight, your opponent asks you to stop fighting for a few minutes while he/she gets naked to change clothes. If Anet were going to do something like that, they'd have to put a serious penalty on it to simulate vulnerability for the large amount of time spent armorless during the fight.--Unless one could find a way to slip off from the battlefield unnoticed to change clothes.
It would be cool to be able to apply a set of armor at a key stroke in town, though!

I think the warriors just need to find a handy telephone booth superman style... 8) ...of course the whole idea that his costume affects his powers is nonsense anyway, but he would be a little difficult to take seriously if he was flying around naked all the time!
It's an idea that might be interesting, but I wouldn't agree with the quick skills as it kinda bugs me, it would definetely be unfair outside of towns. Especially considering ANet relates the skill choice part to Magic The Gathering and it's not like you can grab different cards if you find out the ones you brought aren't as useful as you thought. And in the town just tell your group that you need a minute, grab the skills you need, and if it takes you a long time you should probably do your choosing on your own time.

First welcome to our little spot of heaven.
Now on to the harder part. I would not mind a quick change of armor in towns plus it has the added bonus of not getting the your so sexy text from all of the kids in the game, but to do so during a battle, misson, PvP, or GvG match would be an unfair advantage.
Hummmmm... I will have to think about this one. I hade basically the same setup on my warrior with the exception of the helm which is where I put the different runes. That way it was just a matter of changing helms, which was convienent enough for me and had the added advantage of only needing one set of body armor and 4 helms which took up less storage room.

hello again..thankx for the great input and the welcomes...i know it would be unfair to do it while you are playing...i was thinking more in the line of having a personal quick slot for changing armors inside towns and outposts..i am carrying about 3 sets of armors now trying to experiment on all this absorption and global thing...i bought several armor types and several axe and sword runes...and sometimes when i jump to a different area, i forget to adjust my armor to that particular environment...and being that i dont write everything down, i forget which chestpiece/leggings/helm combo is better...hehe..i know, i should just write it down and have it handy...but there are too many monsters out there to waste time in changing each piece...anyways, its like having 1 or 2 paper dolls so you can put the different armors on and at the same time, see how it looks on your char...oh yeah...wouldnt it be cool if you could also see the total armor rating on your char...like the other games where it shows you your elemental res and phys resistance...??..and about the skills slot...it would also be for in towns too..not for in actual battle..like when i switch from axe to sword, i can quick change the skills i have predetermined for each weapon type....man..maybe im just rambling on now...havent slept for about 16 hrs now...hehe...no wonder my gf is mad...hehe..oh well..thankx for your time and patience all..!!!

I would love anything that gave me more space! So if we are going to ask for this then lets ask for thse quck slots as well as the weapon ones we have now to alos be storage spots for them.....
It would be nice to hae a quick slot of armors, sure in PvP some may consider this wrong but really if you have the armor its simple and very fast to open the inventory and switch.
