View Full Version : Sleep apnoea dont ignore it
Well before people start thing who da hell is this that dont concern me!? as long as you read this But dont do what i did at 16 and totally ignore it.!!!
What is it basically without the techno crap your throat collapses during sleep stopping you breathing and dependent on this is how survier the condition you have ive broke it into 3 cats 2 which aint tech right but i dont give a monkeys
1:- breathing stops 1-40x a hour = mild
2:- braething stops 40-80x a hour = moderate (which i have)
3:-breathing stops 80-100+ a hour = danger possibilty of dying in sleep
but before people go off screaming and kicking up a stink at there local doctors i`ve had this since i was 16 im now 35 and im still alive and kicking So sorry Jamie/Guy/Shawn/WhiteHare i were`nt superhuman living off 2hrs sleep or less on alpha/beta testing it`s a form of depression OPS!!!!
Oh yes this what happened at a vist to a CPAP clinic the treatment for sleep apnoea i posted it on a sleep apnoea forum shock of skock i was there first probably case due to other health complications HAHA!!!!!
went for my first cpap 6 week clinic appointment last week after of course picking up a oximeter. Well the night before the clinic appointment i wish i chucked the oximeter out the window tripped the lower ppm alarm no end of times below 30 bpm.
So went to clinic the cpap part was ok but the mandatory blood pressure test was very high 160/130 pulse at resting 88bpm fine they went off came back needed to do 2xECG do u know u have a irregular heart beat yep know that at school plus a battery of tests in 1997 after dad died of heart conditions (Thinking to my self no SHIT sherlock) Nurse doing ECG said well this aint right resting pulse 88 but laying down for ECG 58bpm chuck in less then 30bpm a sleep well if that aint screwed up!!!!!
Had to go back to hospital the day after coz i had a 24hr heart monitor on
then a further 2 days more of work while getting a client up i surpose you could say i had a break down uncontrolable crying and eventually hitting a emotional/physical brickwall i`ve now been refered to cardioligist+to insominia study clinic
went to doc oterday complaining of left foot and hand numb with pins and needle`s result STRESS cant think why?????

Yes I agree! Be careful!!
I had a friend who had some pretty serious sleep apnea..went thru all that stuff that ur talking about for the insurance company and they finally did some surgery on his nose/back part of the roof of his mouth..Pretty painful but he said was worth it. Tha t stuff is nothing to joke about..can definately cause heart attacks!
Take care of yourself!

My mother-in-law (the best mother-in-law anyone could hope to have, whom I love dearly) just had that surgery done about two months ago. It seemed to have been painful, but after about two weeks of recovery she is doing great. She said she now has dreams again every night. She seems quite happy with the result.
I hope the same for you. GL.

It is a form of Dypnea. (I think the american version is spelt dypnoea.)
It's usually caused when cutanaceous (fat around the skin) literally crushes the wind pipe. I'm really not saying that you are fat, there are a number of reasons. It's also related to pickwikian syndrome, which is loss of consiousness (while awake though). No I am not a med student I just wrote an essay about this... how coincidental...
