Ascension: What is it?

Can anyone tell me specifically what Ascension does, and is it really worth it to do all the missions?

Ascension is extremely important for many reasons. I'll name a few:

- It is the easiest way to get your character access to the Tombs, Southern Shiverpeaks, and Fire Island maps.

- Droknor's Forge (Southern Shiverpeaks' main town) is where the best Armor can be crafted.

- Access for your character to the Team PvP Arenas is also from Droknor's Forge.

- Southern Shiverpeaks and Fire Island areas are where you have to go in order to find Bosses that use Elite skills so you can unlock them using a Signet of Capture.

It also makes you automatically lvl 20 if you complete it before you are lvl 20. If your a ranger it is also the easiest way to get to southern shiverpeaks so you can charm a a bear ^^

Great stuff thx. Is anyone able to help me out on these missions. I've finished dunes easily enough, but I'm stuck and Elona's reach, none of the groups I'm in seem to be able to beat the mission, and I've heard Thirsty River is just as hard.

OK I finally did it! Made it to dragon's lair and I fought Glint and lost, and now I'm at Droknor's Forge. So what now??? I keep hearing about other regions, and I'm wondering how to get there (i.e. underworld)

Lol getting a bear before ascension in lvl 24 teritory.You can get masacred by the Aviaras easily enough.

ive seen it done, and head in the explorable area north/east following a quest where you talk to 2 dwarves and you'll find yourself at ice caves of sorrow <-- mission

There is no reason to fight Glint.
Go through the portal.
People have fought her and killed her. There is no reward nor reason to do so.
This mission can be done with just you and henchies.
Also, Dragon's Lair is a good place to cap elites. Each dragon is from a different profession, warrior, necro, elem, etc . . .

what if you were looking to get all the bonuses because youre into PvE or are looking for a good challenge and to have some fun, test your team, there's no harm. the reward isn't that great but the reward could mean something to you mentally or somehting i guess if you really wanted to
