I was wondering, would D/A be a good idea considering the use of Shadow Steps to enter and leave combat at will? I think it is much better and less time consuming to not run around and reach a group like that.

Yeah the shadow stepping can be great when there are no counters. However, a lot of teams have started to make sure they bring counters such as wildblow for shadow of haste/dash and enchantment removal for AoD or recall. There is a new skill called shadow prison which slows your opponent and you tele to him which might be nice for solo work or dervish bombing. I dont want to discourage you from trying it because shadow stepping sure can be a lot of fun.
