Long time history of extensive RPG gaming and am currently at level 6 but need help from you GW veterans.

I prefer warrior as the primary profession and like to simply be in the thick of battle. However, cannot decide on the secondary profession. Chose elementalist at first but am really not impressed with this combo.

Would like to be deal massive amounts of damage in clsoe, and have enough healing support where can take care of myself and not rely on a henchman.

The monk appears ot be the obvious choice but they dont rerlaly provide much in the way of adding extra damage.

If you can help, thanks.

Elementalist is a great choice for extra dmg, and monk for healing.Sadly you cant have the most effective heals and best dmg. Then why would we need monks, elementalists etc.?
Monk is a good choice for extra dmg(look smiting prayers-judges insight and other skills) and healing.

I would go war/mo. The smiting prayers can make u deal much mroe damage and the healing spells can keep yu alive in tough situations.

tahts what my war/mon does he deals smiting and heals himself though the energy is very low so u gotta pick the right spells that are low enough so that you have enough energy for everything else

Yes.. W/Mo is a good choice. Even tho you don't get alot of energy to work with, you can put "Mending" on you and keep it forever.. Then use smal healing skills, like "Orison of Healing" if needed.

It wouldn't really help you in the damage department.. But you will be able to do damage longer.. all things considered, it comes to the same thing

Dont give up on youe W/E, although early he has a hard time doing much with the Elemental side he can later. Conjure Frost/Light/Fire all can be very nice but you need an Elemental weapon to match the skill. PBAoE (Point Blank Area of Effect) skills can be nasty in PvE however many of them are very high energy so you usually need to team that skill up with Glyph of Lessor Energy.

Where the W/E can shine to its greatest potential IMO is if he goes Hammer with KD's (knockdowns), Stone Fist Gauntlets and After Shock. If you use mainly Adrenline skills you will have plenty of energy to fire off Aftershock. Unfortunately Aftershock cannot be bought from trainers until late in the game but you can capture it if you want to. There is a Reed Stalker Boss in Bloodstone Fend that uses it.

IIRC you can get Conjure Frost very early in the game but i forget where.

Also keep in mind that with Glyph of Lessor Energy a Warrior can use almost any big energy skill if he manages his energy. He can also, if he wants, use a rod and focus as a weapon switch. Then you can activate a defensive skill (to try and block interrupts) witch to wand/focus and cast. I suggest not doing this, but it can be done. You can also go with Sword/Focus or Axe/Focus if you want.

With all that said, the W/Mo is the easiest PvE Warrior build. Smite can be very nice and very nasty in many places also.
