My wife Shawn and I (Guy aka Mahomet)had a great time Wednesday night, September 12th as VIP pass holders in the Dave Mathews Band Family and Friends group – special treatment and seat, plus all our drinks and food…all came free from our friend a former promoter for DMB. The picture with Drex is high school buddy and old drummer for the original Boyd Tinsley Group prior to Dave getting Boyd to join his band back in Charlottesville, VA (my stomping grounds). Dave is a silent owner in a winery in Charlottesville, VA where Shawn and I lived for many years. My sons, Wanderer, The Saint, and Guardian were all three born in Central Virginia with my first wife. My second wife Shawn went to school with Drex. Brad, the owner of the winery, my wife went to school with as well. The Bass player is roommate to old boyfriend's brother of my wife too…and we both personally knew these guys (DMB) before The David Letterman Show performance which propel DMB to extraordinary fame overnight! Dave use to bartend at Miller's in C'ville!

Very cool. Nice little back story as well.

On a side note, a DMB concert always seems to smell like burning sage...
