Black Dye

Hi im relativly new to guild wars and today while i was playing i killed a monster and it dropped a black dye, one of my freinds who plays told me that it was valuable and i was wondering how much gold i should trade it for, i would really like to know so i dont trade it for much less than it is worth.
-edit- I also thought it was weird because if it is so good i found it by killing a monster in the very begining of the game.

best price to place would be about 4.5k... just a bit lower then the dye trader puts it..

yeah, last night it was really really high for some reason. what you should do is see what the dye trader is selling them for see what you can sell it to the trader for and sell it to player somewhere in between that

some people are buying the dye and some runes to put the prices up then selling them at higher prices
something just to watch out for when buying dyes or runes

lol! it really was that high yesterday? thats insane.. Anyways.. I think the guy who amde this post sold it by now.. as it is over a month old :wink:

Correct me if I'm wrong, but a trader in Amnoon Oasis will have the same price as the trader in Ascalon City, etc... I'm pretty sure...

IIRC, when the Traders were reset last month, they were all linked to use the same stockpile of resources.
