I am working on removing this malware from a friends computer and have made progress. the scare stuff is gone but something is blocking any micrsoft updates, any ideas? malwarebytes removed almost all but the update trouble.

Here's a link to a Malware Removal Guide (http://home.comcast.net/~SupportCD/MalwareRemoval.html). It's has a lot of great info. While I might not use everything they suggest, it is still very helpful.

running the trend root scanner now, found a bunch but only a few look dangerous.
I restored the computer to the earlyest date and the av security suit was not installed yet, thats a break but still cant get ie working properl;y.

i am sick of this crap, how many hours aRE SPENT REMOVING THIS STUFF FROM MACHINES? put these guys in jail with Bubba. i reinstalled the whole thing.

you would think os makers would be able to quickly scan and repair there systems. I am realy tired of fatel flaws after malware removle. How hard can it be to resolve issues woth out reinstals.
