plz tell me how you like my idea. I think that there should be allies between guilds. if you have some friends in one guild and friends in another you have to whisper to each of them individually or everyone meet somewhere. well I think it would be easier if you could form an allience. the guild chat option would show up in all the guilds in the allience. the guilds could then fight battles together in the hall of guilds but only allow maybe 3 guilds in the allience so that there arent guilds with 10 or 15 guilds on their side.

I agree that this suggestion has potential Zero Ace. Arenanet frequents these forums, as well as many others fansite forums :D

There are independant efforts that have built some allies and ways for others in the GW online gamie community to "pool" resources and help each other. An exmaple is found with the ULGG http://www.ulggofgw.com. Also the Amazon Basin http://www.theamazonbasin.com/gw/fo...hp?showforum=11 is is actively working ways to build community within GW gaming.

However IMO there needs to be a hard look at how a more critical massing of people online could occur as it seems to be a very large general concensious that there is an extreme need - many players have made post on many forums.

1.) Agree - some manner to request and aceept allied Guild Chats by event session (requires a cancel key by either Guild Party at anytime - control should be by OFFICERS of guild - IMO) Considerations for perminate and temporary Guild allies might be examined.

2.) Agree - raise the limit well beyond 25 for friends list - at least 100 IMO Thoughts about how to use firends list for other tools/fetures could be given. Fame, in battle now, in mission now, in outpost X, etc.

3.) IMO a more massive game play can occur if more effort is given to how to achieve session related expansion of communications and larger number of player interactivities. Maybe a tag to indicate where a freind is on friend list or hover over to display location/district.

The idea is interesting, perhaps I can supply an addition to it?

Allow allied guilds, or at least their leader/officers to visit your guild's guildhall(Implement this with the "district" tab for the guild hall zone.). It'd make it a bit easier to coordinate adventuring, PvP'ing, etc. as allies. Friendly GvG matches, too, for that matter. Perhaps it could even be implemented that allied guilds could fight together in friendly(Unranked) GvG matches.

Another idea might be to give out "weekend passes" to guilded or unguilded people, allowing them temporary access to your guild hall. Either for X days or hours, or perhaps just until access is revoked. Wouldn't allow them to join GvG'ing, but might perhaps allow them to meet up with guild members more easily, either to check if they wanted to join, or for an "interview" to determine if they are the sort of person that the guild wants.

Also agreement with Mahomet. Arrange Guild Chat so that there is a guild-wide channel, and lesser "session" channels which work like team chat, except they ignore zones. This might especially be useful for the seriously massive guilds. Heck, even a 50-member guild could have trouble using their guild channel if half their members are on and talking at once.

PS: Wouldn't it be nice if Ignored people didn't take up space on your Friends list?
