K guys if things go as planned i should have GW at the end of teh week but in the meantime im needing some help. Ive been reading around and ive tooken a liking to the Warrior class cause i have heard of its great melee dmg and survivability(which is my style of play). But what i cant figure out is what secondary class i want. I want a class that will help me survive better and if possible add extra dmg. Im thinking of going for the elementalist fire abilities for the extra dmg or the monk for the healing abilities. I alsp plan to go PvE and team when i can but i also want to be able to solo. Pls help

Hello!

I have a lvl 20 Warrior/ Elementalist. I am very happy with this build. I can cast whirlwind when I'm surrounded and getting beaten up and it will deal cold damage, and cause all adjacent enemies to be knocked down!

Basiclly, this is my main elem skill I use. I will use some fire or other skills depending on the mission.

However, the one weakness is in the healing department. You have the healing signet, which is most certainly useful, but can leave you a bit short of healing unless you have good healers in your party.

For this, and other, reasons, some perfer a monk secondary. Thus the term paladin. I think this is a great combo since you have healing, protection, and other monk abilities to keep you going in PvE. I do not know about PvP, since my two highest characters are still running around the desert working their way to ascention.

A mesmer secondary could be really nice. Since blind, price of failure, and other skills will really hurt a warrior, a few mesmer skills that interupt, reverse, or remove hexes and conditions would be a great asset!

Some like the ranger secondary, since you can have a pet animal to help you out and accompany you on your journey's. Also, this way you could set up your hotkeys to fire bow and arrow, until the time for melee, then switch to your melee weapon. Throw a bit of bleeding or poison before they even close to fight you! Not a bad concept.

I could go on..... lol  But you can experiment in which secondary profession will best suit your playing style and feel good to you.
