View Full Version : DUELS! Suggestion for Update

There really needs to be a feature added for 1 on 1 duels. Its easy to get in an arguement with someone as to who would dominate the other in a duel (especially after a brutal PVP match). With a dueling system, you could actually prove your strength to other players. Perhaps you would each put up a certain amount of money and whoever wins takes it all. It would be a good way to increase personal interaction with players, and it would be alot of fun too! :D

Eh maybe... This isnt WoW though, the classes do not match up 1v1 well in guild wars... The skills tend to focus more of team tactics... 1v1 will normally be one sided for the melee masters with high hp (warriors) since they can heal a bit too but deal a greater amount of damage.
Of course I mean this in general... Of course other classes can stand up and take on warriors.

he as a very good point.. what about monks? good monks can hela themselves very good and never die versus just one warrior.. then what would happen?? it would last forever

if this system where too work.. you'd have to only be able to use one or no skillz at all

...but think of it the EPIC duels a rival warrior and monk could have.
The irresistable force and the immovable object!
Plus the Warr seems to have the advantage till you consider what if the ranger is a R/E or the monk (m/m) slaps a big fatty hex on him right out of the box... could be very interesting.
Would work great for a ranking within a guild also, added prestige (sp?)

another good idea to improve your suggested dueling system is making only duels between professions... so all of the tactical aspect of it would come form the secondary professions
(e.g. monks vs. monks but both can have different secondary class)
