For some reason I cant load an avatar? have tried in gif and jpeg form and even with an avatar I used previously- no luck........
It fits all the criteria of size and space.
Any ideas
???????

Did you check the size, and is it 80X80?

I always use the Link to off-site avatar option and it works fine for me. You just need the URL of the picture you want to use.

I just did that for you. Is that the avatar you had?

thats what i had, i had made one sorta like yours of melandru I was trying to get up, from uploading and it wouldnt take, neither would one I had used here previously from an upload from my machine either.

I think the only avatar method that currently works is the link to off-site avatar. Your image needs to be hosted on the internet somewhere so you can link to the URL. Send me the image and I'll put it on our server, then you can link to it.

I found the same thing i had cut down on the site- it worked then with the off-site usage - that has to be the issue Mand- wont take anything from a server other than KT at this time.
Thanks J for the help- that KT one is great- but they were all running together when flying through looking for a post i need to fix- that happens to me often...............

As I prtect our forums, it is taking me longer to be safer on uploads...issues came about so it is taking me a while to fix the upload process. Please bare with me.

all of my avatatrs have a much larger file size than the maximum for this site :( mine are mostly animations that i've made in Adobe ImageReady though..

What the smallest, average, and largest file sizes of your avatar animations?

smallest= 95kb
Average= 134 kb
Largest= 195 kb

a great image hosting site is imageshack.com

just start your own gallery and u can host pretty decent size pics.

also to post pictures as sigs or avatars. Or just on forums you go to the
-get links- button and read the options and choose the best one.
