Ranger/warrior?

hello i am new to GW i jsut retired from WoW. I am wondering. warriors wear stronger armor than rangers? so if i have a secondary skill as a warrior can i be a ranger with the strongest armor? Also i was a lvl 60 hunter in WoW i am very skilled with kiting. i am not familiar with combat in this game. is it possible to kite with ranger in this game? thx

edit: also is it possible to be ALL one class just ranger? i want traps but i want the shots aswell. (was a ninja with traps in WoW)

Yes, a Warrior's average armor level (AL) on their best armor is 80, a Ranger's is 70.

No, your primary profession determines the kind of armor you can wear. A Ranger cannot use Warrior armor.

Yes. It's possible to kite with every profession in Guild Wars, it just depends on the skills you're using.

You have to choose 2 professions, but of course you can use whatever skills you want (all Ranger for example) and just put points into the needed attributes.

cool...is a ALL ranger build in this perticular game great if you know how to kite.( all ranger build as in all skills in tab bar are ranger)

Depending on your build, using 8 skills from one profession can work very well. Many of the Warriors and Rangers I build, as well as several Mesmers, only use skills from their primary profession. However, don't overlook your secondary profession as there could be 1 or 2 skills that could really help your build.

thx. hey im lookin for a guild to join in GW pvp. I am skilled in WoW pvp i dont know how different the pvp is though. but im not a "noob" to mmo's
