1) are there actually any differences between what pet you choose other than looks?

2)In pre-searing south of the abby and the town, up near the waterfall i remember there being a rabbit. has anyone ever tried to capture that?

I think the rabbit can't be tamed.

As far as your first question, I'm not positive but I think some animals have different attack skills. And the Prima Guide lists the damage types as being different for some. For example, warthogs do Blunt damage and lizards do piercing damage. Most other animals do slashing damage.

This was a pretty good one. It seems they all are around the same in the long run. Personally I am having fun with my bear. 8)

yeah i have a lvl20 bear :D , and I'm not getting rid of him, more just curious.

I had an L20 melandru's stalker....
one day accidentally let a friend ditch her at Jarrel the Tamer (was just showing her the game so she could see if she wanted to buy it, NOT account sharing....)
So at that point I was doing some help in Kryta, so took a Lynx....My current Kitty is back up to L20....I don't want a lizard...sometimes the wolves look cool....so maybe some day...and I'd love a bear, but never could tame one...what beast mastery level do I need?

LOL! if you go after it, just remember to bring your holy hand grenade of Antioch, and remember, throw it on 3 , not 2 , not 4 ...... 3. :twisted:

Wouldn't a holy hand grenade consist of holy water? If so, wouldn't that just burn my unholy hand? (Think about it! :D )

but your right.... since standard grenades explode (or implode, depending on what your throwing) after 7 seconds.... Oh well, atleast i'll miss a couple of weeks of school....

no you cant charm the babbit or the bees or the sharks and fishies yes i've tried i havetn tryed the vultures yet my ranger isn't that far in the game

Once you get to Beacon's Perch in the Shiverpeaks, you can go out the Lornar's pass gate and find one there. The area is extreemly tough, so it will be hard, but I did a quick run with henchies and got it before I died.

Later there are more chances when you get to Droknar's forge and that area, but doing it from Beacons allows you to use the bear through Kryta, the jungle, and the desert!

I like the spider you get a UW, comes at lvl 20. I like to kill them if no ranger want them. They are the strongest out oh all the anilmals i think... well not using and spells or anything on it.

Yah, well most of you rangers I seen got spiders now. Fast little guys lol, they run so fast those spiders in fights.
