I was thinking that to make the dye system better...

First add a white dye (If there already is one, i apologise), it seems a bit unfair on people that they can look sinister and evil but noy angelic.

Second, make it so you can mix dyes, make more colours or produce the more desirable colours-
- Vial of Red Dye + Vial of Yellow Dye = Vial of Orange Dye
- Vial of Red Dye + Vial of Blue Dye = Vial of Purple Dye
- Vial of Yellow Dye + Vial of Blue Dye = Vial of Green Dye
- Vial of Black Dye + Vial of White Dye = Vial of Silver Dye
etc.

I realise that you use two bottle of dye to make one, but it would make the dye system more interesting.

Third, make it so that you could use black and white dye to make darker and lighter colours - allowing more variation in the look of each charater.

Oh and also, would it be possible to make dye useable on hair?

I hope these aren't too large a set of suggestions. I'm not sure how large a modification it would be to the game.

you can mix dyes already. but i think the mixing combos that you mentioned would make more sense. i never mix cuz you are never sure how exactly your armor will look afterwards.

it would be nice to have some kind of merchant or tool where you could color your armor the way you want it and it would preview it. then you would just pay whatever the cost was to get that color combo. this would be helpful in not only mixing colors, but sometimes colors differ in shades on different armor types. i.e. on aeromancer armor, if you dye it silver it still looks purplish.

Silver dye looks white on most non-metallic armors, especially the Monk's armors. Like neversummer said, you can already mix dyes together. For example, Red+Silver = Pink. You can mix upto 4 vials together. Remember that the same color shows up differently depending on the particular armor you have. It's definately trial and error to get the exact look you want.

I meant that maybe you could mix a Vial of Red with a Vial of Blue and actually make a useable Vial of Purple, or use a Vial of Black Dye with a Vial of Red Dye to make a Vial of Dark Red Dye. It would make an item so that prices would be

1 for Primary colours
2 for Secondary colours
3 for Shifted Secondary colours (e.g. Dark Purple)

That IS how they dying system currently works. Red and Blue DOES give you a Purple dye. Red and Black DOES give you a dark marroon red.

yes and the idea of neversummer( making it like preview before you buy the dye combo) is great.. I was thinking of something down the line of like the guild emblemers window.... Just not for capes.. but for armor.( it previews on the left.. the color choices on the right.. and the armor piece selection would be on the bottom.. where the cape emblems usually are)
