Hello. I personally have some suggestions for Guild Wars. Many people agree with this and I belive that this would be the best area to get a direct contact. Below is the list of items I believe should be added.

1. Players should beable to swim in deep water that is not possible to walk on.

2. The maximum level should be raised to 25 for many reasons such as new players not wanting to play the game because they believe that it is to short.

3. Rocks, Trees, and fences should be made solid. Me and my friend that play Guild Wars have hade experienced numerous times when we walk through a rock and a tree. Fences also possible to almost walk through completely. (Edges of the fence can be walked through at certain times)

4. My friend praticly lives at my house. Him and I have an account.(Its really mine since I bought the game) When he makes or joines a guild, I am also in that guild. Whatever friends he has on his friends list gos to mine. Every player should have different items uncluding things like these. (We are playing on one account but have a total of 2 players on it)

5. Each account should beable to have a total of 5 players instead of 4. This would make my whole family and friends beable to enjoy this game as much as I do.

6. A expansion pack should not be released for sale in stores. Instead, players should have to download a online expansion pack beofre they are able to beable to play the game(Completely free for download. They game would make the player download before they can play)

7. A area in the game should be added bgeing able to report people that play Guild Wars. People should be able to be reported for doing things like: Vulger language such as causing, sexual terms, etc.

Thank you for listening to my suggestions. I hope that soon, some will be reviewed and even be made part of the game. Once again, Thank you.

1: why? they dont want you in that area for a reason. have you ever made a game? its hard!

2: i have to agree with you on the level but make it 30

3: i agree thats why they need to higher a q and a tester team

4: they explaned this in the rules i think this rule is fair 1 account you get four players to play from instead of just one, its your game you join a guild you want to.

5: same rules apply as above, nothings wrong with them playing it, but if they like it tell them to get there own game. hopfully they have there own pc to so you can play at the same time.
.
6: your jokeing right a expansion is around $20 or more how else is all those game dev's and the rest of the team going to pay for there bills?
and help publish the next guild wars game?
thats what updates are for you should be happy that this mmorpg is free and on top of that we get good update this summer.

7: if you actully see cuss words ,you need to turn your censorship on i beleive the censor is something that will show up like this **** bad guy.

in game options set chat filter to maximum, hopfully this will cut down the words you see , its kinda neat that they have it cause i know alot of game dont and i am not the one for censorship.

i hoped i helped you out with number 7 and i not slamming you in this post just giving some inlite. you should add something about weapons or new char classes though ;)

all of this is IMO

1. that would be cool. im all for getting rid of more invisible walls and make the terrain more open

2.I think the current max level is fine, if you increase the levels you get more attribute points. If you get too many attribute points it throws off the balance and unquiness; you get characters with max stats in many categories instead of the current two. if they increase the level they need to add more attribute categories to put new points in.

3.i think they made them not solid for a reason, so people dont get caught or stuck.

4.having each character its own entity would require more space on ArenaNet. I think it would also make it very confusing and annoying for players that do use 4 characters and want them in the same guild and to have the same contacts.

5. why not make it 10 while were at it :) 4 is a good number, they had to set the limit somewhere

6. i dont see a reason that the expansion pack shouldnt be avaliable in stores. if the price is the same for the downloaded and store verson ill buy one from the store since i like having the boxes/manuels/cd case. as for free!!! wow, there already not charging monthly. if its like they say, that the expack is going to have as much content as the original, they should charge $50 just like the original. and I would gladly pay the $50 so that they have funds to develope the next expansion pack :D

7. you can report people online, i dont think there is a need for ingame reporting. as for cursing etc, just use the filters.

1. Pointless, it won't do you any good

2. The max level is fine as it is right now, but if you were to raise the max level and give more attribute points out I'm afraid it will cause some more skill balance issues

3. It would be nice if you couldn't walk through trees, rocks, etc. but if they make all of them solid textures you would probably nearly double the amount of polygons on your screen, thus lagging the game more.

4. Your friend should get his own account

5. A fifth character would be nice I guess, but your friends and family should get their own accounts

6. LOL, how do you expect them to pay for the development of the expansion pack and upkeep of the server?

7. You can already report people, there's no need to add an area and people will just go there over small matters. And, like someone said, there is a chat filter so that vulger language is censored

5. A fifth character would be nice I guess, but your friends and family should get their own accounts

Wouldnt that cost me around 200 dollars? I would have to buy the game around 3-4 times just to have my family and friends beable to play on their own account. Is it free/legal too make a couple accounts with one CD key?

It isnt posssible to have more than one account per key. Your friends and family should get their own accounts, but shouldnt they be purchasing their own copies, not you? Then it wont cost you a penny :) Besides, once you beat the game as one character how are you going to experience the goodness of the many other profession combinations, if someone else is using your other slots :)

Ok.. About the level changing.. That'd be way complicated and long to fix, They'll have too change, the exp values of every mission.. Add more quest or boost there exp values too so that you can actually get to level 25/30

If there thinking about changing this.. They'll probably wait till the next expansion comes out.

the adding of another character would be great..hell, i hope they do add a couple.

me and my bro used too share an account before.. We dealed with it.. If we dont have enought cash to pay for another one.. This is me and my bro's problem.. Not ArenaNet's.

Hello

GW Shold be a mass multy player game; but in the game and in missions exist only a small group of players 4.6.8 .
I think that it i not mas playng, 20 people in group and more -and we stert talking about MMP.
My ssuggestions are to expand the group to 20 people and more:..

Thank you for listening to my suggestions. I hope that soon, some will be reviewed and even be made part of the game. Once again, Thank you.

well, expanding the group to 20, would be pretty dumb. where would challenge be then? Imagine UW in a 20-people squad. a full guild going together, and rolling lottery for loot?..

anyway, if you want MMORPG, go play one. this isn't one, on purpose :)

There really should be some system where players that quit during quests/missions loose ranking for themselves and their guild if they have one and are marked in some type of way

IMO

I think the game, as a whole, is awesome. My would be changes if I was in charge.

1. Perhaps a larger stash (not huge just maybe double it. Don't do anything more cause that would take the fun out of finding items and trading).

2. People who say, "well me and my friend can't do this or that with the game since we play on the same account." My response, go buy your own copy. Technically its breaking the license agreement anyway.

3. I do totally agree that each character should not be forced into the same guild as the others in the same account. I think some people get into the whole character thing a little too much and would enjoy being very good and noble with one character and very evil with another. I know I would :).

4. The only place where the water bothered me was down in the southwest of the map where there is this beautiful castle to explore but you can't get to it. Oh well. But all in all I have had little trouble with running through objects. I have more trouble getting stuck on rocks and other players when I change targets in the middle of a fight.

5. A better naming convention. What I mean is every person has 4 characters. I think we need a "world name" or account name for the buddy list for example. When I play my other character no one knows who I am anymore due to the name.

Have a nice day :)

ps - on a personal note, how do you turn filters off so you CAN see the dirty language? :D

One thing you guys have to understand.... This is technicaly a MMORPG but not really, since There are a mass of players, there just not all playing with each other.... I rather this system then the one WoW has.. Since there's no stealing of kills or things of the like

www.guildwars.com says in there game faq section:

"Guild Wars has some similarities to existing MMORPGs, but it also has some key differences. Like existing MMOs, Guild Wars is played entirely online in a secure hosted environment. Thousands of players inhabit the same virtual world. Players can meet new friends in gathering places like towns and outposts where they form parties and go questing with them. Unlike many MMOs, when players form a party and embark upon a quest in Guild Wars, they get their own private copy of the area where the quest takes place. This design eliminates some of the frustrating gameplay elements commonly associated with MMOs, such as spawn camping, loot stealing, and standing in a queue in order to complete a quest."

gonad, you can change the language filters in options. you can also adjust your GUI and make it smaller.

Avenger

gonad.. when someone adds you too there friends list with a certain name, then you go to a different character you see both names e.g. Never X (hydra rush)

Never X being the one you entered in the first place, hydra rush being the one he's currently on, meaning.. if people know who they added to there list in the first place, there shouldnt be a problem

storage: Definately make it bigger. it should be big enough to contain at least 1 stack of each material type, except perhaps the ultra rare ones.

Solid trees etc. No. there's just no need for it. i get enough hazzle being stuck on henchmen who wont move until i do, which i wont, since im stuck. i've actually had to restart the quest once, because friggen Claude caught me in a corner..

swimming. no. there's no real point, unless you get underwater combat as well.

Jumping though.. it annoys me endlessly how little the rock has to be before i have to go around it. If you want to stop me from going somewhere, put something bigger than me in the way :P

shared accounts: Read the license agreement. your request is never gonna happen.

in-game support. While that would be very nice for those strange mishaps, where suddenly the Lich respawns and kills everyone on the platform after 3 hours of mindless killing lava demons... grumble. In game support could fix that !

it's not going to happen i imagine. it's just THAT expensive.. you'd need a whole boatload of support people hired 24/7 if the system should work, so they're better off with an out-of-game support system.

one thing i WOULD like to see though, is a 5th character slot reserved exclusively for PvP characters... it annoys me that i'll have to either delete one of my PvE chars or buy a new account, if i want one. if you wanna try all classes, you can't try the same twice, if you want a PvP char.

Ideally, you should have 6 slots for PvE and 1 for PvP. 1 for each primary class... as it is, i'm just never gonna have a Ranger or a Mesmer, i think :(

Well Thats what I mean. You get to fight fish under-water and get fish skales and gold, etc. Wimming would be a fun extra. It would be nice to beable to explore more even if there is not much of a reason other than swimming to another land mass.

Yes. It would. When you pay for the game what you're really buying is an account. It's *actually* against the rules to do account sharing as per the official Guild Wars FAQ.

Every player needs to get their own account. Sorry.

Then why give it the role playing aspect *at all*? Just let people make a character and then start killing stuf or challenging other players. There is a role playing aspect ergo, it *is* a role playing game (no matter what the official site says), albeit a weak one.

Guild Wars is more of a CORPG (Competetive Online Role-Playing Game) than an MMORPG.

Right, this is according to the official guild wars website faq. *BUT* It's *STILL* a role playing game competetive or not, and as such they really ought to offer a better role playing experience.

Okay, at this time, I stopped reading the rest of the thread.

No, making multiple accounts with one key is not legal. I didn't read the whole EULA and I know that. They will eventually ban your CD key, not just the account if you do this.

Plus, the EULA which I have actually read a lot of (used it for a BLaw Project), does in fact say that having multiple game players on one account is also unacceptable. Each person who wants to play needs to have their own account and their own cd-key.

Think of it this way, your friend does something stupid and gets you banned, what's your argument gonna be "it was him, not me"?? They'll just say, "Oh, well, then, so sorry, but you're banned for sharing an account too."

I disagree completely, it's not a weak roleplaying game at all. I get to level up, I get to adjust attributes and use skills to augment the damage my weapons do to kill the badguys. I do find spawn camping, loot stealing, and waiting for quests infinitely annoying. I didn't even finish my first month of WoW, I was so annoyed with the loot stealers who'd come along in groups.

The roleplaying aspect is there because there are going to be additional chapters (expansions) and updates that will continue to expand the world. To play well in those areas you'll have to have played most if not all of the roleplaying game. Plus I imagine the new expansions will also introduce new PvP options as well.

If you're saying that it's weak just because it dosen't allow loot stealing and all the other things that go along with single instanced MMO's, I have to say I think you're wrong. I think it makes it a stronger RPG. I think the lack of people trying to steal MY drops let's me concentrate even more on the tasks at hand, and then I can run back and pick up drops when the baddies are all dead. In WoW, if you blink, it's gone.

Teela,

You're absolutely right, and perhaps saying that the role playing aspect was "weak" was a bit harsh. I think that having looters and such would be too annoying as well (even though I'm probably going to give WoW a try one of these days despite that).

Where I think it's weak is that it has... well, not really too heavy an emphasis on combat, but I think, to little an emphasis on other role playing aspects.

I love that I get my own copy of the game world when I leave a town. That way my party and I can role play the way we want without all of the OOC chatter, and looting etc. I just really wish that if I wanted my character to be a farmer who was suddenly thrust into a situation more suited to a hero, that I'd still have my farmer skills. Now, I chose farmer as an example, I'm not saying that *farming* is really the skill that I want to see AN add to the game, but I'd definitely like to see some non-combat related skills and character paths.

You made some great points. Thanks for participating in the discussion! :-)

Thanks for all the posts on this topic.
