Runes On Armor

When you put a rune on a piece of armor, can you expert salvage it to get it back? Or, has anyone even tried expert salvaging a piece of armor with a rune on it? Because it kind've sucks to put a rune on your armor, and then have to switch to better armor and just losing the rune. Please help me out.

yes it's possible to get the rune back. but it is also possible that you just get regular crafting materials instead of the rune. you gotta be careful and not put such great of runes on the weaker armor but instead put them on the better armor.

Yeah, I still have really crappy armor so i'll save my good runes for later. Thanks for the help. 8)

Runes are relatively inexpensive to buy from the Rune Trader. The only armor you can't salvage to get your runes back is the Collectors' sets and your starter set.

like wanderer said go ahead and put runes on ur armor. most minors are only like 120 gold. i would save more expensive ones for your droknars set. i use thes ex salvage kit on all my armor, and you get your runes back about 80% of the time

The thing is, I'm very poor compared to most GW players. I don't know how people get so rich when they are at the same level as me. But, You're right about the cheapness of the minor runes. I'm sure I will get more money sooner or later.

If you sell all the drops you find, only keeping what you need and only salvaging the materials you need, you will accumulate gold fairly quickly.

expert salvaging armor often give you rare materials as well (depending if the armor needed one in the first place, obviously)

if you plan on having multiple characters from different classes, you can just salvage everything. stop salvaging materials when you get a stack of 250. you can figure out which items yeild what type of salvage, so once you get 250 of a material just sell items that yeild that salvage. then you will have all the supplies you need for all your character types. once you have a stockpile then you can just sell everything you dont need. when you use some materials, just salvage the items that yeild that kind of material to replenish your stock.
