When I'm not cruising through Pve, mesmerising someone, or singing (?) I collect prestige armour, and it's nice to know that you can put 15k and the other fancy stuff in the hall of monuments! Because of this I'm keeping a keen eye on the GWEN armours. So this is what I think of the 10k Norn:
Firstly, Areanet. For god's sake.
NO ONE LIKES GRINDING TITLES! Yet again they've forced you to drag your sorry ass through hours of boredom to achieve the rewards. You have to achieve a high rank to obtain this armour, so you'd expect it to be good. We'll see. It's clearly designed for cold weather, so it's mostly fur-lined.
Note: All the pictures are from wiki.guildwars.com if you want to take a closer look.
Mesmer Armour
Looks attractive, but it's very plain for prestiege. The shoes don't look all that picturesque.
Again it's pretty plain, I mean compare it to Noble, which has a huge amount of detail. The boots look like something from a Star Wars reject jumble sale. The arms are nice but apart from that this isn't great.
Dervish Armour
Great shoes. Like the celtic insignia on the dress. Not convinced by the bracers, too much brown. Fur bra...

Clearly the people at Areanet are lonely.
Areanet. Man. Boobs. Are. Not. Attractive. Ever. The lion is cool I suppose, however the horns on a chain doesn't appeal to me. Good shoes.
Ritualist Armour
Pretty good! I hope dye works well because the current colours look like somethin out of King Authur... Love all the shoes so far... which is weird because I'm not the kind of person that cares about clothes lol! Though in-game I obviously do as I collect them. (Note to self: When I go back home I will post my armours!)
Definately Jester material. I don't like the hat. The skulls aren't my thing. Let's be honest, male ritualist armour isn't exactly eye candy.
Assassin Armour
Hm... seems like she's wearing 2 armours at once at home... the gloves and shoulder pads inspire thoughts of bulky armour, but the leggings and the bottom half of the torso seem more cat-suit like. To conflicting for my tastes, but what about you?
*Sighs* Nappies. The man looks as though he is wearing a huge nappy. Again it is odd having very bulky limbs and a plain torso. I suppose some people might like it, but it's again not promising for me.
Elementalist Armour
Great boots. Fur works well with this. Instead of a focus she looks like she's wearing a shower-cap over her face... *turns off appearance at all times*. Stupid torso thing, trying to do the "whole body look" mesmers have, but with no success. Get the boots, leggings and gloves for sure, but perhaps something else instead of that weird skirt thing.
Looks very good, but it's a shame about the un-done belt, makes it look like a dressing gown. I'm annoyed that the elementalists are trying to copy mesmers, now they have these dodgy masks... they are not desireable from my perspective.
Paragon Armour
It's a little unusual, but at least it's detailed, which the Norn set seems to be lacking.
Dyed black this seems to work well, except for the crazy tusks protuding from either side.
Necromancer Armour
It seems too simmilar to other armours around already, but for those who played Nightfall, at least it's not a demented fish outfit! A sigh of breath for those deprived of dignity. It's pretty good actually, with decent spikes and more celtic detail!
The first really good male armour here! Very sexy, and not a fish!

. I think the boots stand out because it's dyed differently. Full marks from me!
Monk Armour
Another Celtic-Furry tandem (noticing any themes?). The trousers and torso seem a little too fluffy for my tastes.
Eww. I hope it's just the vibrant purple that makes it look bad.
Ranger Armour
Is she... wearing some kind of mask? Perhaps I was wrong... maybe masks are a norn thing. I don't know. What I do know however is that this armour is poppin'! Very winter suited. On wiki it says that the credit goes to Artanis Elanesse, TRP. That person was obviously talanted.
Another mysterious mask! This is nice but too bulky for my tastes.
Warrior Armour
Not bad by warrior standards. The spikes aren't stupid, but the helmet is a bit Asterix... I quite like it, but I'd prefer it if it was full plate, plate mail and revealing don't mix.
Another strange armour. And it's too simmilar to the prophecies armour! That's a problem with a few of these armours.
Conclusion: Unless you're a male necromancer, a colourblind male monk, or a female mesmer, don't bother. What do you think?
